Proust said that “The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new landscapes, but in having new eyes…” The camera gives me new eyes. When encountering an environment, I attempt to slow down and quiet my mind to discover something new that I haven't noticed before. In doing so, I am learning something new about myself and the way I relate to and view the world. By sharing the images I take, I hope to share my appreciation of the environment that inspires me to want to protect it.
