home Proust said that “The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new landscapes, but in having new eyes…” The camera gives me new eyes. When encountering an environment, I attempt to slow down and quiet my mind to discover something new that I haven't noticed before. In doing so, I am learning something new about myself and the way I relate to and view the world. By sharing the images I take, I hope to share my appreciation of the environment that inspires me to want to protect it.

Hear the sounds of waves
Smell the ginger
Taste soft ripe strawberry guava
Touch the volcanic rock and dirt
Feel the environment
Click the shutter.
